Q. What do you love about teaching music?

Angela is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Piano Performance with Lydia Wong at the University of Toronto. A Grand Prize winner of the Canadian Music Competition, she made her orchestral debut in 2017 with the Orchestre de la Francophonie. Since then, Angela has performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and as a concerto soloist with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, she was named to CBC’s 30 Hot Classical Musicians Under 30roster and won the $10,000 First Prize in the McLellan Competition.

As both a teacher and performer, Angela is passionate about forming meaningful connections with others through music. She believes that lessons should foster both musical growth and a genuine enjoyment of playing. Her lessons are tailored to each student, emphasizing well-rounded musicianship, encouraging independence, and fostering enthusiasm. She strives to create a supportive and engaging environment where students can explore their musical interests, develop their skills, and above all, have fun making music.
